Happy Monday Fashionistas and friends! It's been awhile since we've had a new blog series. So today it's time to change that. I'm starting a new series about style 'Mashups' (when 2 different styles combine in jewelry). This first post features 'Artistic' style and 'Glamourous' style. All of the jewelry pieces below have creative flair, while designed for an overall luxurious look (often featuring an abundance of sparkling crystals). I happen to love this combination! Do you have a favorite of the two styles though?

Happy Monday Fashionistas and friends! I'm back from vacation and ready to dive right into another fashion feature. Today we're looking at patterns and prints. Isn't it cool that these applications can be made on jewelry pieces too and not just fabric? I think so too. So let's explore!
The main difference between patterns and prints are how they are applied. Prints are designs put or etched onto fabric (think floral, animal prints etc.), whereas patterns are designs woven into fabric (think plaids, stripes etc.). And if you look closely at patterns you'll see that the designs are repeated all over the surface. Because we're talking about these applications related to jewelry though, you will see these two words interchanged. Now, having covered the basics, if you're a print or patterned design lover, keep scrolling to be amazed at these beautiful designs! And pick out your favorites to enhance those jewelry closets! Happy Monday Fashionistas and friends! Are you ready for the fashion feature of the day? Next up in this series is Art Nouveau style. Sounds exotic right?! Well that description works well for this style. Art Nouveau style jewelry usually has very intricate designs, organic curves, asymmetrical shapes, and/or patterns. They are very interesting to look at and as indicated in the name, they are truly a work of art. We have 2 stunning examples at the boutique right now that are both intricately designed - one representing dark, the other light. Do you have a favorite?
