101 Days of Wedding Planning: Day 21: Research and reserve accommodations for out-of-town guests.8/8/2015 If you're having out of town guests attend your wedding, it's a great idea to reserve a hotel room block for them. Hotels will usually provide a discounted rate for the block of rooms.
Here are 4 things to consider before finding accommodations for your out-of-town wedding guests: 1. Consider hotels that are close to your wedding venue(s). 2. Consider the price ranges of the hotels. You would want all of your guests to be able to afford the accommodations. You may have to reserve rooms at 2 or more nearby hotels to accommodate different budgets. 3. Think about booking a shuttle service or transportation for your out-of-town guests if there aren't nearby accommodations to your wedding venue(e). 4. Think about how many rooms you will need and what type of amenities you would like to be available for your guests. Of course you can always opt on providing guests with alternative options to hotels, for example: Bed & Breakfast Places, and Rental Homes.
